I remember the first time I saw Bali was when he came back from his vet check up and I thought that like most like colored cute puppies he would be adopted very quickly!
This was not to be though and as the weeks passed he got bigger and bigger and seemed destined to be one of the unlucky dogs who grow up at the refuge!
Today his luck changed and off he went…7 months old!
Seven-month-old pups are a lot of work, even if you have had then from young pups and put in the time and training you needed. They suddenly become like teenagers who push barriers and seem to have a mind of their own. Consistency and love get you through these months and as most of us have been there we know that it passes.
Today we also heard some very sad news of a much loved dog who died this weekend after being thrown from a car which went off the road. The dog was unattached. Please, please attach your dogs whilst traveling. It is the law but we see so many dogs loose on the back or even the front seat!
I am sure that like us you would never forgive yourself if this happened and you hadn’t secured your dog. There are seatbelt attachment, harnesses, car seats, crates, dog guards which are all readily available. So please please use them and keep your buddy safe!
