We mentioned yesterday that some dogs’ lives only really begin when they arrive at the SPA. Such is surely the case with today’s arrival, who was brought in by his owner, who apparently has “no idea” why the dog is in such a state. Even allowing for their own ignorance in such affairs, perhaps a vet would have been able to explain, assuming it is not just a case of lack of food. We all know that dogs make a very quick recovery, as seen with the recent case of Tao, the border collie, amongst others. Let’s hope this lad finds a family soon. In the meantime he has the great fortune to have gone to foster with Carole, so we know he is in the best of hands.
One dog who did not have long to wait at the SPA was Belette, who left for her new home today. This girl certainly had something special about her, despite being hard to describe in terms of breed! As well as being calm and good with other dogs, which always helps!
Oh, we have a date for your diaries, too. On June 26th DRC is holding a yard sale at Chateau Miaou in Villasavary. You can find out more information on the Events page, but the most important information is that everyone is welcome and all funds raised go (of course) to help the SPA.
Finally please be aware that Hélène, our translator extraordinaire, has recently gained fulltime employment (congratulations!), and unsurprisingly does not always feel like doing MORE work when she arrives home in the evening already tired. If she is unable to translate, then we hope that the photos give you a gist of what went on during the day, or that google translate will fill in some blanks.
This poor lad must be relieved to have arrived at the SPA
