Atchy was found cowering at the ScPA gates one morning, complete with harness and lead. Initially staff were unable to see if he was identified, as he was so scared that he growled to keep them away. He had probably spent a cold and terrifying night alone before being found in the morning. A couple of hours later he had calmed down and it turned out he was chipped. When contacted, his owner said that, unable to look after Atchy herself, she had given him away to an animal lover. The name was familiar to staff at the refuge….Atchy had been given away to one of these very credible people who pretends to love animals, but who is in fact a bit unhinged, and just abandons them afterwards. So Atchy is not going to be reclaimed, luckily for him, I suspect! He is a big dog, a pyrenean mountain cross who was born in January 2013. He really needs some good luck to come his way.
