As you know, puppy Luzerne was adopted on Saturday, and although of course we were happy for her, we felt a bit sad for her sister, Lutece, who was now alone. Sometimes the best advertisement is word of mouth, and some friends of Luzerne’s new owners were so charmed by her, that they decided to adopt her sister! Yesterday Lutece was reserved, and today she left with her new family. And I am sure she will love seeing her sister again!
We had three other adoptions today, as well.
First to leave was Kaina, a shepherd cross who has been at the SPA for about 5 weeks, but of whom we had not been able to take photos for a variety of reasons; lack of time; poor light, lack of organisation….. Luckily some dogs find homes without needing the extra boost given by social media. We must not forget that many people come to the refuge without having seen photos of the resident dogs beforehand!
We also said goodbye to Sake, the Pekinese, who hasn’t been here for long, but being small and fluffy, his speedy departure was a given. And another wee one left, this time a tiny brindle coloured spitz, whom some of you may have seen hiding in her cage.
We also have news from Germany, where Stivell has been adopted by his foster family. From the photos it was clear that they were becoming very attached to him, and yesterday they realised that they simply could not say goodbye. Many thanks to the association Brittanies in Need (Bretonen in Not) for finding this lad a home.
No one wants to say anything to jinx what appears to be a run of good news, so shhhhh!!!!
Puppy Lutece gets a bath before leaving thanks to volunteer Angelique
