I hinted yesterday that Bernie would be leaving soon; and he will, but it was not today. However a TRACES compliant vehicle is making its way up from southern Spain as we speak. Need I say more? Probably not, but I will anyway…..tomorrow!
Regarding the little podenco mentioned in yesterday’s blog, a phone call to our friends at Doglinks this morning put me in touch with June from Levriers and Company. She didn’t even hesitate, and so as soon as she is able to travel, the little “pod”, who June has decided to name Daisy, will be taken into June’s own loving home to rest and recuperate. We will keep you all informed of her progress; her operation is scheduled for tomorrow. Wish her luck.
At the SPA there was no good news. More and more dogs are arriving, and as many of them are due to mistreatment, they will take some effort before they regain their confidence in people.
I too am losing my confidence in people.
However there are always things to make me smile, and today it was this picture of Tara, who was adopted two years ago today. She is lying with (or rather ON) her pal Tigger. And we also had news of lovely DJ, who is flourishing in his new home. So there is hope for all the terrified dogs at the SPA. Many of them just need love and patience; but sadly people with those qualities seem to be few and far between right now.
There will be some good news tomorrow, I promise.
This is little Daisy. Wish her luck for tomorrow.
