Nikita arrived via a local vets surgery; she had been found and taken there to be checked for any identification. Lo and behold she was chipped. However phone calls to the number remain unanswered and it seems clear that Nikita is yet another unwanted dog. She is about a year old, and this is the classic time for dogs to come to the SPA…dogs whose owners have acquired them as puppies and made no effort to train them, that is. Nikita appears to be unused to a lead, unused to any kind of basic education. Of course we will start working on that at the refuge, regular walks will help. But Nikita, a gentle and affectionate black lab cross will progress much quicker in a home of her own. Could it be with you?
