Three dogs have been reclaimed in the last couple of days, and I suppose it is no coincidence that all three were identified when they arrived. Identified dogs are far easier to reunite with their owners than the numerous unidentified dogs who are brought to the SPA…..
First to leave was Chausette, who arrived on Saturday and left yesterday. She is a beautiful border collie and it is no surprise that someone was looking for her.
Then today we had the departure of Titan, and this was one of the reasons we love Facebook. Carole posted photos of him when he arrived yesterday, and almost immediately someone recognised him as maybe being his friend’s dog. So they tagged the possible owner, who responded underneath that he would come and collect his dog today, which he duly did.
Next to leave was Duck. Sadly, as with Chausette, the only photos we have of this dog were taken when he was in his cage, so you perhaps cannot see how fabulous he is. And what a great name. Our guess is that he has a quack-like bark, but maybe not. He was quiet when he was with us,that is for sure.
Our only arrival of the day was this glorious boy, whom we have named All Black, because he is (yes, you guessed it) all black. We are nothing if not inventive! This beautiful dog went straight in to share his kennel with a female and he should be adopted quickly if there is any justice at all. Like his namesakes, he has all the signs of being a world champion dog!
