Tex was homed by DRC as a home to home, and everything appeared to be going fabulously. He appeared in our Life after the Refuge section, along with the couple’s two other dogs, Gino and Hachi (ex Paddington), both adopted from the SPA. So what went wrong? Why is Tex at the SPA, bearing in mind the home to home was intended to avoid just such an eventuality.
Well, let’s just say that there were problems with the neighbours, and Tex, along with Gino and Hachi, were accused of having killed some of the village cats. Threats followed and guns were shown. In a panic they brought all three dogs to the SPA. Sadly Tex is not doing well at all. He is used to a loving home; he has never been behind bars and has stopped eating.
Please can you offer him a home? He is fine with other dogs, used to be fine with cats (he used to live with a cat!) and is really affectionate. And without the other dogs to lead him astray, he didn’t ever wander, despite the fact that huskies are famous for this. Must be the German shepherd in him that balances out this instinct to roam.
Tex was born in March 2014, he is vaccinated, castrated and identified. Please help us find him a home quickly!!
