Dog Rescue Carcassonne was set up in 2014 as an association according the law of 1905 with the specific goal of helping the ScPA Carcassonne with its fundraising and rehoming efforts.

The association is based here in Carcassonne and is run by Moira and Darcey, both of whom are committed dog lovers dog and owners. We have excellent links with the ScPA and can help you with advice about the adoption process or put you in touch with English speakers at the refuge who can help you on the ground.

This includes volunteer dog walking, which is a very rewarding way to spend an afternoon. As well as being good exercise, it is wonderful for the dogs and a very enjoyable way to improve your French.

We occasionally help people to rehome dogs they are no longer able to keep, and also have contacts with many other animal rescue associations in the local area as well as some links abroad.
