Meet Ollie who is a seven-year-old chocolate pure bred labrador. Ollie needs a new family as his elderly owner has been hospitalised,

All the typical attributes of labradors Ollie has. He is a loving happy boy who is super social with other dogs and has lived with larger dogs, a Chiwawa and cats. He is used to long off leash walks and has turn on a dime recall. He loves swimming and of course puddles and travels very well in the car. He can also be left alone for a few hours. He is fully housetrained.

Reading that you will think he is the perfect dog, but Ollie has missed out on manners training in the house. He will eat anything left around!! This is easy dealt with, put all food away! And he is a bit like a bull in a china shop!
Ollie has a couple of health issues and needs a cataract op which will be paid for by his owner. He also had a skin condition which is controlled well by medication.

So you might wonder how I know this boy so well. My friend Jane is his dog walker, and along with another friend we walk together weekly. I have known Ollie for at least 5 years. Had this been a couple of years ago I would have loved to adopt him but life changes and now that just would not be the right thing to do. We all absolutely love this boy, I have a tear in my eye writing this and so will my friends reading it! So, we really want to make sure that the next home is his forever home.

Ollie could live with another dog, he’s very playful! He has lived with cats. He loves his walks and swims so an active home with older children would be ideal. We wont place him with young children simply because he could knock them over.
